A hernia is such type of infection which is usually a sac formed by the
lining of the abdominal cavity. The sac comes through a whole or weak area which
is situated in fascia. It is also called by abdominal hernia. Most common hernia
develops in the hernia. Hernia usually resolves spontaneously as the abdominal
muscles grow and requires no further treatment.
DESCRIPTION
It can be seen in infants and children. It will usually appear after
straining or crying and then disappear after a period of time. There are
different types of hernia. The most common hernia is direct inguinal hernia,
indirect inguinal hernia, and umbilical hernia. A direct inguinal hernia takes
place when a small section of bowel hernias, through the groin muscles of the
groin. An umbilical hernia occurs when a part of the bowel protrudes through a
small defect in the abdominal wall muscles near where the umbilical cord
attaches to the baby abdomen. The muscles of the abdomen that causes the
internal organs to develop outside the body. Approximately 25% of males and 2%
of females have inguinal hernias in their lifetimes; this is most common hernia
in males and females approximately 75% of all hernia occur in the groin. In
complicated hernia patient develops painful enlargement of a previous hernia
which can not be manipulated through the effect. Inguinal, the most common type
is in the groin. The types of hernia affect men, women and children. Some people
are born with weak abdominal muscles. Untreated hernia can cause pain and health
problem.
SYMPTOMS
The main symptoms of hernia are pain and swelling. A hernia can be painless
and it only appears as a bulging. The pain is constant in the infection of
hernia and the swelling may decrease or be absent, it will be depending on the
amount of pressure in the abdomen. Most of hernia patients are uncomfortable
bearable symptoms which encourage them avoid or postpone surgery leading to life
threatening complication. There may also be inherited factors that result in
tissue weakness, which ultimately allows the deterioration of the formation of
hernia.
HERNIA REPAIR
SURGERY
Hernia repair surgery is the only treatment no drugs or exercise helps to
treat it timely surgery can help to prevent life threatening disease. Hernia can
also repaired using a laparoscope, a thin, lighted tube that tells the doctor
see inside your belly. The laparoscope will be inserted through the other
cuts.
TREATMENT FOR
HERNIA
The possible exception to this is a hernia with a large opening. Avoid those
activities that increase intra-abdominal pressure that may cause the hernia to
increase in size. Rarely, your doctor may advise against surgery because of the
special condition of your hernia. Some hernia may be treated without surgery,
perhaps using abdominal binders.
